Shoes & Champagne Gala Evening

Habitat for Humanity Thunder Bay has announced their new Shoes & Champagne Gala Evening that will take place this fall. The exclusive event will offer shoppers, for the first time ever in the city of Thunder Bay, the opportunity to purchase shoes from international designers and right off the foot of their favourite celebrities.

Habitat for Humanity officials along with gala representatives launched the event by unveiling two pairs of shoes that will be auctioned off at the prestigious affair. A pair of luxury brand Manolo Blahnik's were displayed that are autographed by the Governor General Michaëlle Jean; along with a pair of tournament worn golf shoes from Canadian Golf Pro Mike Weir.

Immigration Northwestern Ontario

Northwestern Ontario’s communities officially rolled out their welcome mats to the world with the launch of the new Northwestern Ontario Immigration Portal at www.immigrationnorthwesternontario.com.

 With over 500 pages of content, translation into 11 languages and more than 30 photo galleries, the Portal showcases Northwestern Ontario as an international destination of choice for immigrants. It also provides essential information, resources and referrals to help newcomers settle more easily once they have arrived in the region’s cities and towns.

The Q100 Stewardship Project | Quetico Provincial Park

The Q100 Stewardship Project has been launched in celebration of the Centennial anniversary of Quetico Provincial Park and its American counterpart, Superior National Forest .

The project celebrates outfitters and businesses who promote best service and environmental practices to Quetico Park visitors.

Q100 Members are recognized for their innovation, reliability, and commitment to customer service and environmental responsibility.




The Q100 Stewardship Project is one of many initiatives related to Quetico Park's 100th Anniversary in 2009.

It is a cooperative promotional effort, designed to reward and celebrate outfitters and businesses who promote best service and environmental practices to Quetico Park visitors.

Participation in the Q100 Stewardship Project demonstrates a business' support for innovation and stewardship within Quetico to ensure ecological integrity, tourism sustainability and positive visitor experiences.
